Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Musicals are typically not my bag and Tim Burton hasn’t really captured my interest in over a decade.  I still looked forward to catching this film given the buzz that surrounded it.  I was not disappointed.  I hope that Burton can capitalize on the creative high this movie saw him reveling in.

Up next is his animated feature length version of his early short film Frankenweenie, followed by a star-studded cast in his adaptation of Alice in Wonderland.  I am excited to see the latter starring Mia Wasikowska who was absolutely heartbreaking and unforgettable as Sophie on the HBO series In Treatment last year.
